RN Operating Room

At M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital, we perform approximately 10,000 surgical cases per year in our 12 OR rooms using the latest in technology. Our team of nurses, surg techs, and nursing assistants work closely with multiple disciplines to provide a patient and family centered experience. With our strategic location in Burnsville, MN just south of the Minnesota River, Ridges promotes the health of surrounding communities and continues to experience growth.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN), whom will circulate and scrub for all Adult and Pediatrics cases. Ridges OR specialty areas including: Spine, Ortho, OB-GYN, General, ENT, Plastic, Urology, and Da Vinci.

• Position is 48 hours in pay period
• Benefit eligible ( Paid time off, Retirement monies, Wellness dollars, Tuition reimbursement)
• 8 hour shifts (Mainly Day and Evening shifts, with limited occasional night shifts to help when night staff are off)
• M-F with weekend, holiday rotation/Call hours (typically every 4th weekend call rotation) and occasional week night call rotation 7 pm -7 am. 30 minute call time is required.

The RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient populations and for performing duties in accordance with all policy, procedure and professional practice guidelines. While coordinating care with members of the health care team which includes; MD, surgical techs, nursing assistant, instrument techs and schedulers/billers.

Requires:

• MN RN license by start date
• Ability to provide written validation of current basic life support BLS for health care providers competency
• Must have current computer skills
• OR RN work experience
• or completion in the Periop 101 program/course , or RN new graduate who has completed their OR internship at Fairview, or had a full OR clinical during nursing schools, or has 2 years of work experience as a surgical technologist.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment are a must

Prefer:

• Scrub experience
• Strongly prefer RN work experience in a main Operating Room with cross-team training
• Endoscopy experience
• Experience supporting Peds and Adults
• BSN strongly preferred or BSN enrolled and wiillingness to obtain in the near future
• Epic experience
